چکیده

Background : Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most commonest malignant tumor of skin especially fair-skinned individuals makes up roughly 70–80% all tumors. In certainty, this malignancy had a variety many sub-types, through distinct histo-morphological appearance and biological function. Unlike other tumors, usually has an affirmative clinical course, developing slowly just locally. Antibodies against “Ki-67 antigen” or proliferating Cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) are typically used in immunohistochemistry to detect proliferative activity (growth fraction) malignancies. Aim study This aims examine cells' status utilizing analysis “Ki-67” biopsy specimens different sub-type BCCs. Material methods A Case series enrolling 35 biopsies sampled from retrospectively selected cases cutaneous BCCs were registered research. Results Thirty five (31 Primary, 4 Recurrent)of histological types patients (11 male, 24 female) included. The patient’s age ranged 36 75 years (with mean 59.2 year) .In results showed that site involvement was face 71.4% , there significant association between size Ki67 level grade, reported non-significant subtype level. Discussion data wide range ki67 (2 70%) among various growth basal carcinoma, higher index indicate more potential lower less aggressive tumor. So proliferation which been BCC illuminate spectrum

Expression of metallothionein I/II and Ki-67 antigen in various histological types of basal cell carcinoma.

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most frequent skin cancer, with many different histological subtypes. Recent studies have investigated the expression of proliferative markers, but little is known about the expression of metallothioneins (MT) in different histological subtypes of this cancer and their impact on proliferation intensity in BCC. In this study, we examined MT-I/II expression by im...

Gli 1 protein expression in different types of basal cell carcinoma

Background and aim: Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common cancer in humans. Activation of Hedgehog (Hh) signal has a key role in development of BCC. The end result of Hedgehog signal are Gli proteing. Gli 1 is a member of this family which activates DNA transcription. Previous studies showed increased expression of Gli 1 in BCC.Materials and methods: In this study 38 pathologic samples ...

Immunohistochemical Assessment of Ki-67 Expression in Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma of the Salivary Glands

Objective Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a rare malignant tumor originating from the salivary glands. It’s rather bland histological appearance that masks its ultimate biological aggressiveness. Evaluation of cell cycle and mitoses have been useful in predicting malignancy in many tumors. Ki-67 antigen is a human nuclear antigen that presents during all active phases of cell cycle. The aim ...

Proteomic Analysis of Gene Expression in Basal Cell Carcinoma

Background: Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is a type of non-melanoma skin cancer. Alteration in gene expression is the important event that happens in cancer cell. Detection of this event is possible by proteomics techniques. Methods: Normal and tumor tissues were taken from BCC patient. Total proteins were purified by standard methods, and proteins were separated by two-dimensional electrophoresis...
